Studies using brain imaging (fMRI) have shown that the prefontal cortex and the parietal cortex can be developed via board games. (Gutierrez, Hansen, Newman 2016) These two have an essential role in mathematical performance. (Bor & Owen 2006) As the sensitive period of the development of these areas is at the age 12-24 years old, upper primary and secondary school has a foundational role in the maximum of mathematical and logical skills that one can acquire. Based on results and experience drawn from our previous studies, our research group carried out an experiment in the academic year 2022-23, involving classes from several age groups and several schools. We present the experiment and some interesting results in the presentation.
